Changes in the Instagram API broke i-am-cc. Metadata is still being served via the API, which may allow for finding CC-licensed images even with the Instagram changes. It may be possible to fully fix this service but I haven't had time.

Who's that jackass and his ubiquitous cell phone hanging out at The Bean? As a former Chicago resident, it's odd that a pair of visitors from Spain had to show me where The Bean is. But I'm so glad we got to finally see it! I learned something there that day. There are lots of interesting pieces of art on public display all over the world but The Bean strikes a chord, I suspect, because it makes US the art. And what are we looking for more in this attention-deficient, vanity-soaked lives we live nowadays more than a slightly distorted and slightly flattering (it made me look skinny!) reflection of ourselves? I came, I looked, I saw myself. And I left happy. Then I thought about it and I re-cast the experience to be more about hanging out for a rare few hours with online friends from the other side of the planet...and being with my family. But, c'mon. Try visiting The Bean and NOT taking a #selfie. It's not possible. Thankfully Maria took this one of my wonderful wife (in purple on the right) and me. Yeah, I blurred her. This post is about me & The Bean, after all. Shuddup. #thebean #chicago #shuddup
